Accommodation on Mendip

The MCG’s headquarters is based on the Mendip Hills close to Bristol, UK.

It provides bunk-style accommodation for up to 30 people, and is an ideal base for groups pursuing outdoor activities in the area.

The cottage comprises three bunk rooms (6, 8 and 16 beds), large lounge/dining room with open fire,

well equipped kitchen, communal changing room, shower room with three showers, and two toilets.

Outside there is a sturdy shed used as a drying room / cycle store, etc. There is also a library and caving tackle store available to members.

The cost is £4.00 per person per night for non-members.

Bookings can be made per bed for individuals and groups of up to 30.

For member’s weekends, the largest group booking allowed is normally 16, but please contact the cottage bookings clerk with particular requests.

Member’s weekends are usually held on the first Friday of each month, but please check availability for the latest information.

Please note that it is currently not possible to book the entire cottage for exclusive use,

as other members and guests may access the cottage without notice.
